“How does my makeup look?” “Is it too much?” “Do I need more?”

How many times have we asked each other these questions?

Leyla Soleil has been working with makeup for over 15 years and will be teaching a 1-hour seminar on MAKEUP FOR DANCERS. She has been employed with some of the top cosmetics companies such as Clinique, Elizabeth Arden and Glemby Salons. Her experience lies in applying makeup for weddings and special events but considers her specialty to be theatrical makeup. She holds a portfolio of various makeup looks from the Kent State University’s theatrical department and is currently the official makeup artist for the Cuyahoga Valley Youth Ballet. Being a professional belly dancer as well as a makeup artist has led Leyla to experiment with many different looks to see not only what looks best, but also what types of makeup hold up under sweat. If you are a dancer or training to be one, this class will help you bring out your best!

If it’s a party there is sure to be Debke!

Debke is a traditional form of Arabic line dancing and can be found at almost all Arabic parties, weddings, and nightclubs. Shakira will be teaching a 1-hour seminar on the most popular forms of Debke.

Shakira has studied the art of Middle Eastern Dance since 3rd grade. She teaches and performs internationally, in a variety of styles. Her 28 years of Middle Eastern dance enhanced by her certification in “Being in Movement ® Mindbody Training” has made her a most exceptional dancer.

She is a founding member of MEDIA, an organization dedicated to excellence in teaching and is certified to teach in colleges and universities by the National Association for Teacher Certification in Middle Eastern Dance.
